Trip Planner, Blog and Online Shop for TripPlan Australia

Single-page responsive web app (www.tripplan.com.au/planner) to allow the construction of an Itinerary for an Australian road trip. Features include the auto discovery of towns that will be travelled through, with distances and times from the Google Maps API. Incorporation of the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse widget provides for the inclusion of selected events and attractions linked to the towns, allowing the recognition of best places for over-night stops. The app front-end utilises the Bootstrap 3 and Backbone.js libraries, with a REST API constructed for the back-end using the Slim library. Principal languages are Javascript and PHP, and databases used are MySQL, Google Cloud Datastore (NoSQL) and PostGIS (geo).

The Blog articles (www.tripplan.com.au/blog) have been written from personal travels to all states of Australia. The display utilises a customised Travelify WordPress theme.

The Online Shop (www.landscapeimages.com.au) uses a customised Zancudo premium theme with the standard WooCommerce plug-in.

Programmed the Lender and Branch Leaderboard intranet displays for St.George Retail Bank which now serve as the entry point for bank management when reviewing weekly performance

Extract/Transform/Load for St.George Business Bank KPI reporting

Created new SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for St.George Business Bank KPI reporting, resulting in a 90% reduction in data errors from pre-existing ETL processes

Deposits Funds Flow for St.George Retail Bank

Designed and programmed a system to recognise the origin of deposits in St.George Retail Bank, resulting in Deposits Management refining campaigns to maximise the acquisition of new-to-bank money

Margin Lending modules for Colonial State Bank and Commonwealth Securities

Programmed the Contract Note Processing, Customer Enquiry and Adviser Relationship modules for Colonial State Bank Margin Lending, contributing to Colonial having the 2nd largest book in the market. Subsequently contracted by CommSec to integrate these modules following Colonial's acquisition by Commonwealth Bank.

Route Costing/Profitability system for State Transit of NSW

Wrote the business specifications for, and subsequently project managed, the introduction of a Route Costing/ Profitability system for Sydney Buses, which had an immediate benefit of a 5% community service obligations funding increase from the NSW State Government . The solution included an executive information dashboard display sitting on one of the first major OLAP database installations in Australia
